The system is blocking the transport of the smoke to the east, while the system’s counter-clockwise winds are acting like a conveyor belt, dragging the smoke south to the eastern seaboard.

Furthermore, organizations like the Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre (CIFFC) facilitate coordination and information sharing among agencies at the national and international levels.
